Adult foster care homes serve adults age 18 and over. These adults need varied levels of supervision, assistance, protection or personal care and room and board. Living in adult foster care enables individuals to obtain or maintain an optimum degree of independence and dignity in a supervised setting.
Beltrami County Health and Human Services licenses, monitors and supports adult foster care families.
Adult Foster Care homes are licensed according to Minnesota laws: Chapter 9555.5050 and the Human Services Licensing Act.

To begin the adult foster care licensing process, complete the Prospective Adult Foster Care Provider Information Form and submit to the Beltrami County Social Services program office: Attention Adult Foster Care Licensing.
A licensor will reach out to schedule a time to do an orientation to the adult foster care program. From that meeting, you will receive application materials.
