Male Arrested Following Pursuit
Eckles Township, Beltrami County, MN – A 26-year-old male was arrested after fleeing Beltrami County Deputies from a traffic stop west of Bemidji. At approximately 4:30pm on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, the Beltrami County Emergency Communications Center received information that a subject with an outstanding felony warrant was in a blue Chevy Equinox heading west from Bemidji.
Beltrami County Deputies located the vehicle just before 5:00pm and attempted a traffic stop in the area of MN Highway 89 and US Highway 2. The vehicle exited northbound and briefly stopped before fleeing. The vehicle traveled eastbound in the westbound lanes of US Highway 2 before correcting the direction of travel at Eckles Rd NW reaching speeds of 80 miles per hour. The driver then continued to flee northbound on Cardinal Rd NW.
Deputies performed a pursuit intervention technique disabling the vehicle and took the driver into custody on Cardinal Rd NW. Dillon Taylor, 26, was arrested and transported to the Beltrami County Jail for felony fleeing, gross misdemeanor driving while impaired and for an outstanding warrant.
