Press Release: Bemidji Transfer Station Construction

Construction for needed site improvements have commenced at the Bemidji Solid Waste Transfer Station located at 751 Industrial Park Drive SE, Bemidji. Residents should exercise caution and patience as there are additional construction crews, active heavy equipment and increased vehicle traffic on site.

To enhance safety and efficiency, stay focused while navigating the Transfer Station and plan your unloading in advance. Scrap metal is located before entering the building at an outside drop off area. All recyclables are in a designated area followed by household waste and non-burnable debris. 

To avoid inconvenience and longer wait times, residents may want to consider utilizing a commercial hauler for household waste during construction. It is the intent of Beltrami County Solid Waste to remain fully operational during this time, but there may temporary closures of the main drive through lanes. The afterhours lane will be open during closures, but special waste disposal will not be available during closures. Announcements will be made through Public Service Announcements and on the Beltrami County Website.

Construction is excepted to last through November 2025. Thank you for your cooperation during construction.
