Public Works Department - Solid Waste Division

The Solid Waste Division aims to ensure that viable outlets for waste materials are available to the residents of Beltrami County. Over a 10 year planning period, the goal is to expand its programs in order to continue to provide County Residents and businesses with an environmentally responsible, reliable, sustainable, convenient, and cost effective solid waste management program. 

Proper waste management starts with recycling. Future increases in waste charges will be due to the costs associated with proper waste management. The Solid Waste Management Plan is updated every 10 years.
