- A permit can be obtained by visiting the Natural Resource Management office located in the Beltrami County Administration building.
- Salvage firewood permits will be issues at a cost of $25.00 per permit. All permits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Permits are valid for three months.
- Permits may be renewed at the discretion of the District forester for an additional $25.00.
- Permits will be available for the clean-up of timber landing sites after timber sales are completed and closed.
- Permits will be sold on a "first-come, first-served" basis and more than one permit may be issued in a timber sale area.
- It is the responsibility of the permittee to inspect the salvage area prior to purchasing the permit. Amount and quality of salvage will vary by site.
