Beltrami County
Highway Department
Did you know that there are over 750 miles of road and 128 bridges in Beltrami County that are maintained by the Highway Department? Maintaining the roads is not just construction projects in the summer and plowing snow in the winter. There are a lot of other elements to keeping roads in the best condition possible for the residents and motoring public.
The Beltrami County Highway Department operates out of five shop locations housing plow trucks, tractors, mowers, graders, and other pieces of equipment necessary to maintain the 465 miles of County State Aid Highways (CSAH), 255 miles of County Roads, and 127 Bridges (including bridges owned by townships) in the county.
