The Facilities Management Department is responsible for overseeing activities relating to county buildings, grounds and safety. The department provides operational support for a county campus of seven major buildings and several outlying sites. The department is also responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring county safety programs and policies. Working in conjunction with county departments, local, state and federal officials to ensure proper indoor air quality, ADA compliance, fire and life safety code compliance and energy conservation is also the responsibility of Facilities Management. The department manages an annual operating budget and capital improvement planning budget to ensure county financial needs are met.
Maintenance and Custodial staff strive to provide a safe, clean, comfortable, and efficient working environment for all of our customers, tenants, and employees. Maintenance staff provide a variety of services such as HVAC repair and maintenance, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, landscaping, snow removal, building and equipment preventive maintenance, building security, and other assigned tasks. The custodial staff’s primary function is to maintain a clean and sanitized environment, assist with snow removal and building security.
